Writing Contest Open for High School Students

High school students in Martin, St. Lucie, ¶¶ÒõÆƽâ°æ River and Okeechobee counties are invited to participate in the annual Creative Writing Contest hosted by the English/Communications/Modern Languages Department at ¶¶ÒõÆƽâ°æ River State College (¶¶ÒõÆƽâ°æ). The deadline to submit entries is Monday, February 17.
Contestants can enter one of three categories: short stories, one-act plays or poems. Awards are presented by category for each grade level, and seniors will be eligible to win one of two ¶¶ÒõÆƽâ°æ scholarships. All winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony March 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the Brown Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship on the ¶¶ÒõÆƽâ°æ Main Campus in Fort Pierce.
